BAKHTAR Bitumen Blown asphalt 90/40 (oxidized bitumen 90/40, blown bitumen 90/40) is a Semi Solid grade of pure petroleum bitumen which is manufactured by blow of hot air through bitumen flux. Blown asphalt 90/40 is based on petroleum bitumen made by blowing of  very hot air to bitumen 60/70. The softening point value is the degrees Centigrade measured by the Ring and Ball method as determined by ASTM D36 regulations and standards. The penetration value is in 1/10 mm as determined by IP49 or ASTM D5 Standards.
Oxidized Bitumen / Asphalt is a solid or semi-black solid material and gradually liquid when heated, oxidized asphalt is predominant content bitumen, asphalt, molten (oils) and aromatic resins. The oxidized asphalt or blown asphalt is manufactured in various softening point and penetration grades.

Where to use blown asphalt (oxidized bitumen) 90/40

 BAKHTAR Bitumen BLOWN ASPHALT 90/40 is a type of bitumen obtained from crude oil refining and then subjected to an oxidation process with a catalyst by manipulating hot air blow. It is used in hot mix supply solution using several layers of product, but it is mainly applied in industrial applications such as roof felts, waterproofing, roof and floors, anti-rust pipe coating, anti-slip layer compound, sound dampening felts, coats for automobile industry, joint filling compounds, sealants, bituminous mastic and many more similar industries.

Blown asphalt 90/40 / oxidized bitumen 90/40 is applied in the chemical, fuel, paints, lacquers, varnishes, paper-pulp-board, textile processing, road construction, pavement, crack seal and repairmen, civil works, roofing, construction industries; sealing and insulating buildings, adhesive, construction materials additive, dust-binding, insulating and impregnating agent, make rubber and plastic products. How to Apply blown asphalt 90/40

BAKHTAR Bitumen blown asphalt 90/40 must be heated with double temperature against the softening point to make it have flow and viscosity. Before using oxidized bitumen 90/40, surfaces must be dry, clean and free from loose particles, formwork, curing products, irregularities, slurry, and any dirt.
